Oscar Niemeyer Soares Filho is an architect who revolutionized the world architecture with the beauty, lightness and inventiveness of his works at a time when the prevailing technical accuracy, ignoring the famous right angles, curves and straight lines and using unpredictable.Born in the Rio de Janeiro and graduated from the "National School of Belas-Artes (1934).As an intern in the office of Lucio Costa in 1936 joined the team of architects who collaborated on Le Corbusier - the great influence of his life - in the construction of the building of the Ministry of Education, today's Palace of Culture the Rio de Janeiro, a landmark of modern Brazilian architecture. At age 35, stunned Brazil and abroad with the unpredictable and creative buildings "Set Pampulha, in Minas Gerais. In 1939, again next to Lucio Costa, worked on the project of the Brazilian pavilion at the International Fair of New York. In 1947 he unanimously won the tender for the construction of the headquarters of the United Nations (UN), in New York. Always following the line of architectural plastic freedom and invention, from 1956 to 1959 he devoted himself to building one of the most daring works of architecture and urbanism of the Century: Brasilia. During the dictatorship in Brazil, was forced to leave the country and went into exile in France due to its link with the Communist Party. Created several projects in various countries. In the late 1960s, returned to Brazil and taught at the University of Rio de Janeiro.
